I am turning 25 tomorrow. Many people say to me that I look too young for my age and can’t believe it. But deep down, I know that I might have a body of a young person but my soul is too old even for the people of my own generation.
Truth is I’ve learned and unlearned so many things in my life. Each past year was a different version of me. I think I could even name those versions.
So I am writing down below 25 things that I have learned during this current version of myself. I call this version “a spiritual one”.
- Family is above anything.
- God’s plan is better than ours.
- Respect is the most important thing in any relationship.
- If something is meant for you, it will happen no matter what.
- We can continue to live even without the things we thought we couldn’t live without.
- The more we chase something, the more it will slip from our hands.
- The best feeling in the world is a state of calmness.
- Heartbreaks are blessing in disguise.
- We can’t force connections. No matter how much we want to.
- A small action can lead to bigger things in life.
- Life is unpredictable. Cherish the present moment.
- “Regret of not doing something is greater than doing it”. I truly believe this quote.
- Kindness is the most beautiful thing in the world.
- The right kind of media consumption is essential for our mind.
- Don’t put labels on yourself. It hinders growth.
- It’s okay to lose personal items that are important to us. It teaches us the art of letting go.
- Happiness is homemade. We can create small moments of joy even at our worst times.
- Don’t give too much to someone who has not earned that place in your life.
- Everyone thinks that their pain is greater than anyone’s. Truth is everyone is struggling so don’t think just of your own pain.
- Be grateful even for the smallest things in life. Truth is those are not small at all.
- We do get things we want in life but mostly in another form.
- You will find your path as long as you keep walking. According to Rumi “When you walk on the path, the path appears.”
- Learn to express yourself.
- The right people will like the real you.
- Document your life as much as you can. You will be glad that you did when you look back.
