A thesis Project!

There is a film project I worked so hard for. A story I came up with which is close to my heart. No one really knows the importance of this project for me. It feels like that it has been a long journey.

I learnt a lot during this project but what I learnt is more about myself than the process of filmmaking. I’ve always been this person who is used to of relying on herself for everything. Who would rather do things alone than ask for help. Who prefers to work alone than with someone.

But during this project, I made a small team. A team which helped me to reach my goal. Who made hard time easy for me. Who were by my side.

I learnt that sometimes it feels like we don’t need someone but having someone in your corner would make a huge difference. At first I was busy doing everything alone but when it got overwhelming, I asked for help and made a team. When I worked with others, I realised that how amazing is it to have a team who could make this easier.

How I feel less stressed and alone when I have a good assistant director and friend to rely on. How amazing is it to talk about your vision with your team and seeing others bringing it to life with their skills. It felt great when I saw the actors improvising my script and bringing something new with their acting.

It felt amazing to share my excitement of packup at the last day of shoot with people who were present with me. I might not have been able to do it alone. I might have pulled it off but It would not have been memorable. It was indeed an experience.
